What is my role in preparing my child for entering school?

You are your child’s first teacher. 

You know your child the best. 

You have the power to make a difference.

You are the consistent teacher your child will have year after year during his/her educational experience.

• Read to your child daily. 
• Utilize the Time Together Website to help prepare your child in the areas of literacy, math readiness, listening skills, social skills, and self reliant behavior.
• Watch the Time Together Facebook page for added information and tips.
• Be consistent in using the Time Together kit with your child.
• If your child is expressing apprehension about going to school, arrange for a time for your child to meet with his/her Kindergarten teacher.
• Know that your efforts will help your child be prepared to enter school ready to succeed!
