Afternoon Pick Up Information

Please be aware of our neighbor's driveways on 100 north. If traffic backs up along this road please do not block driveways.
Enter the west lot from 100 North (white arrow on map).
Drive north and make a U-turn in the circle and start to line up (heading south) along the west sidewalk. The first car in line will stop at the end of the west sidewalk (stop sign on map).
Cars will fill in behind the first car at the stop sign.
All students being picked up in front of the school must exit the front doors of the school.
As students exit the building, if they see their car lined up along the east sidewalk, they can get in their car (yellow line). Students will not be able to stand and wait for their car along the east sidewalk.
Students will be crossing the driveway in the designated crosswalk areas with a crossing guard; the front parking lot will be closed from 3:20 - 3:45 each day.
Students will stand along the west sidewalk and watch for their car to arrive.
Please do not stop along the sidewalk when you see your student/s. If there is an opening between your car and the cars in front of you, please full forward until the cars stop or you reach the stop sign. Students will be trained to follow their car until it stops.
Students can only enter the vehicle from the passenger side along the curb.
Teachers will help students get in cars as needed.
Please pull out of the pickup line as quickly and safely as possible.
As cars pick up and leave, please full forward as far as you can towards the stop sign.
A buckle up zone will be available after the stop sign if needed.

Parents have the option to drop-off and pick-up at a self-designated location off of campus. Richmond City provides crossing guards at the intersections of 100 North and 100, Main Street and 100 West, and Main Street and Hwy 91 before and after school.

Step-By-Step Parent/Guardian Instructions for Scheduling Parent-Teacher Conferences

Click on the following link to access the scheduler: Parent Teacher Conference Scheduler.
From the Online Scheduler Home Page:
1. Choose your student’s school from the drop-down list and click “GO”
2. Enter the school password: birch (Note: this is all lower case)
3. Enter your student’s “Student ID”. If you do not know their Student ID, use the LOOKUP STUDENT ID button to access the system.
4. Verify the student’s birth date
5. A list of your student’s teachers will be displayed. Check the box next to the name of each teacher(s) you would like to meet with.
6. If you have more than one student in the school you can see all of your students’ teachers’ schedules at one time by answering YES to this question “Do you want to schedule conferences for another student?” then repeat the steps above for your other students. If you only have one student, answer NO to that question.
7. You will then see the available time slots for each teacher you selected.
8. Select the times that work best for your schedule.
9. Enter your email address (recommended) if you would like an email reminder sent to you. (Your email address is kept private.)
10. Once you have finished you can confirm your appointment details and print your conference schedule.
11. Write down the Confirmation Number (you will need this number to cancel your appointment)

Safety at White Pine Elementary

Keeping our students, employees, and school visitors safe is a top priority. We regularly review and practice safety processes and procedures in our schools.

BUILDING SECURITY
Extensive measures have been taken at each CCSD school to ensure building security. We ask that parents support these efforts by checking in at the main office whenever they visit the school. Additionally, students and parents are encouraged to report any security or safety concerns immediately. To report a safety concern, please speak with a school administrator or, to report it anonymously, utilize SafeUT.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Our district has adopted standard response protocols (SRPs) as part of our school safety plan, which establishes uniform, planned, and practiced response to an emergency or incident. Monthly drills are held at each school so students and staff can become familiar with and practice the SRPs. The SRPs are:

HOLD. Students and staff remain in the room or area.
SECURE. Students and staff are inside the building with locked exterior doors.
LOCKDOWN. Interior doors are locked, lights are off, students and staff are out of sight.
SHELTER. Students and staff shelter in place and respond to the hazard appropriately.
EVACUATE. Students and staff move to an announced location.
