Meeting Information:

Sep 16, 2024 in the Library.  Meeting started at 4:15 pm

Minutes:

• Attendees: Jessica Gardiner (council chair), Jenifer Lewis, Mandy Gibbons, Justin Bowles, Natalie and Bryce Wood, Derek Beer (principal), Angie Braegger (teacher), Terri Rhodes (school board), Holly Jo Karren (Richmond City),  Seargent Hansen (SRO)
• Chair going over responsibilities of council. 
  • Keep meetings at 2nd Monday of each month at 4:15.
  • Justin Bowles moved to keep chair (Jessica Gardiner) and Vice Chair (Jenifer Lewis) the same.  Bryce Wood seconded.
• Went over rules and protocols on school website. 
  • Bryce Wood moved to approve, and Justin Bowles seconded.
• RISE data information: 
  • White Pine had tremendous growth this past year- especially in math and Language arts
• LAND trust and TSSA budgets: 
  • With Title 1 money, we have been able to get more aide help, and that frees up some money for other things.  Technology is a huge need.
• Safe Schools Pathway:
  • Problems with Richmond City on 100 N.  Some people are parking in driveways, and roads are breaking on side.  Possibly ask a few parents to just come a little later- then we won’t have to worry.  If they will leave their house at 3:35, most would be off the road.  Watching for the next 30 days.

• Minutes approved from last meeting: Bryce Wood, motioned, Jenifer Lewis seconded
• School Pickup/Safe Routes:  
  • Richmond City Council Meeting (about pickup):  City says there has been lots of improvement, keep it up.  Still encourage parents to be considerate of those that live on 100 N.
  • Pick up problems noticed- off school property- jaywalking, not noticing blind corners- look again at safe route plan for state street and 100 N?
• Digital Citizenship:
  • passed out the Safe Technology Utilization and Digital Citizenship Report- will go over questions, feedback next time
• Land Trust and TSSA Budgets:  
  • Biggest draws- technology- replacing many short throw projectors with TV’s, apple tv and ipad.  Hopefully get half of remaining classrooms this year.

Items of discussion:

Approval of minutes from last meeting:  Bryce Wood moved to approve and Jenifer Lewis seconded

Digital Citizenship questions/concerns:  Passed out printed copies last time- no one had concerns or questions district’s digital citizenship 

Beginning of Year Data:  looked at each grade level in reading and math

LAND Trust and TSSA Budget update:  On track on both budgets

• Thoughts about sharing how title one money has impacted the school- maybe flyers or a video?

Safe Routes plan:  looking at State Street and 100 N.  Kids going across after school without looking.

SCC meeting for 2/10/25 Feb 10, 2025 4:15 AM

Attendees:  Jessica Gardiner, Mandy Gibbons, Bryce and Natalie Wood, Justin Bowles, Terri Rhodes (school board), Angie Braegger (teacher), Derek Beer(principal)

Approval of minutes: Bryce Wood move to approve, Jessica Gardiner 2nd

Went over Mid Year Data from Acadience (reading) and I-ready (math).  Met goals for Math in growth, just under our goal in reading as a school.

On track for budgets, and met quite a bit of our technology needs this year.

Terri Rhodes passed out hard copies of Cache School District Annual Report.

School Community Council Meeting- 3/24/25

Attendees:  Jessica Gardiner (chair), Bryce and Natalie Wood, Mandy Gibbons, Holly Jo Karren (Richmond City Representative), Kristin Coburn (PTA pres), Derek Beer (principal), Angie Braegger

Minutes approved:  Bryce Wood, Natalie Wood seconded

Trustlands goals:  Discussed goals.  Adjusted goal percentage just slightly for next year in reading.  Made good progress with technology needs this year. Moved to approve, Bryce Wood, Jessica Gardiner seconded.

Discussed numbers for class sizes, needs at the school.  Chronic absenteeism still an issue.
